My path to real estate was far from linear, but how many career paths are?

I grew up in Southwest Minneapolis and Edina. I attended Northwestern University for undergrad, where I originally thought I'd be a neonatologist. Not exactly houses! However, as I moved through college my focus shifted and I ended up attending the University of St. Thomas School of Law. It was there that I was introduced to Property and Real Estate Law. These were areas that not only intrigued me but where I excelled as well.

During law school I worked for a real estate attorney, where I had the opportunity to learn the exciting business of title examinations, a great background for a realtor!

After graduating from law school Cum Laude I worked as a Real Estate Analyst for Target. It was a fantastic job and I enjoyed what I did but I always hoped that I would be able to find a career that would allow me to parent my kids and work, and the corporate world didn't afford me those luxuries. So, I made the decision to get my real estate license. I contacted Barry Berg, whom I've known my whole life, and we discussed my joining the team. The rest is history!

I'm now in my twelfth year with Coldwell Banker and the Berg Larsen Group. With over $75 million in sales, it has been an exciting, crazy, fun ride and I love it. I have met some of my favorite people through my job and I've also been able to be mostly present in my kids' lives. I can't imagine another full time job with these perks! If you're looking for a fantastic realtor to help you navigate your home buying or selling adventure, you've come to the right place! I look forward to hearing from you!
